Project: Regenerative City

2020 International Architecture and Innovation Competition, held by Fondation Jacques Rougiere

The project aims to design a sustainable and regenerative city on costal lines, where all energy will be self produced using recycled energy sources such as: solar energy, wave energy, tidal energy and wind energy. The city comprises apartments, labs, artificial beaches and planting areas. The main purpose of of the labs is to research and nurture coastal plants with genetic modification to produce plants with stronger capabilities. These plants will then be grown along the coastal line, acting as a natural defence against sea waves to protect the seashore from erosion and seawater intrusion. Additionally, the floating planting ground is also a place for growing vegetables and fruits to provide for the city's need.
